Sneak peek at Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana. 🌴✨

We had the chance to visit during its soft opening, while the resort was welcoming a small number of guests and still finishing construction.

Even with only portions open, the vision is clear: this is going to be a massive, gorgeous, immersive all-inclusive resort with grand spaces, beautiful ocean and golf views, and so much built into the property.

Bookings are already open for next year, and I cannot wait to see this one fully finished.

We had the privilege of visiting Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana during its soft opening, and this resort is going to be something special.

It is still under construction in some areas, with only a portion of the resort open to a small number of guests, but even seeing it in this stage was exciting. You can already feel the scale, the vision, and the level of detail they are putting into this property.

When complete, Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana will be one of the largest all-inclusive resorts in the destination, with over 2,000 rooms and a mix of beautiful ocean and golf views. This is going to be a massive, full-experience resort, not just a place to sleep between beach days.

The areas we saw were already stunning. The design feels grand, polished, and immersive, with the kind of spaces that make you stop and say, “Okay, this is going to be impressive.” It has that big-resort energy, but with a Caribbean setting, beautiful views, and so much potential for families, couples, groups, and travelers who want options.

This is the kind of resort where you will not need to leave the property to feel like you are getting a full vacation experience. It is being built to be a destination all on its own.

Bookings are already open for next year, and I am so excited to watch this one fully come to life.

JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar is small, adults-only, and feels like its own elevated little world inside the larger Iberostar Bávaro complex. 🌴✨

With only 272 rooms, an amazing beach, a compact layout, beautiful dining experiences, and access to more entertainment throughout the larger resort area, this is a great option for adults who want luxury without feeling cut off from everything.

The pirate ship bar before dinner was such a fun surprise, and the restaurants felt more like experiences than just dinner.

This would be a great fit for a long weekend, anniversary trip, or adults-only escape in Punta Cana.

Zoëtry Punta Cana is quite luxury in all the best ways. 🌿✨

With only 96 rooms, spacious grounds, a wellness-focused feel, and included experiences like beach yoga, hydrotherapy, horseback riding, and afternoon tea, this resort feels completely different from the typical all-inclusive.

It is calm, beautiful, laid-back, and perfect for travelers who want rest over noise and wellness over the sugary drink of the day.

I especially love this for a romantic escape, ladies retreat, mother-daughter trip, or anyone who wants to come home actually feeling relaxed.

Zoëtry Punta Cana was one of the most peaceful resorts I visited, and I really loved its quiet, laid-back luxury.

This is not the resort for someone looking for loud pool games, a party atmosphere, or the sugary drink of the day. Zoëtry is much more focused on wellness, beauty, rest, and creating a slower, more intentional vacation experience.

With only 96 rooms, the resort feels intimate, but not cramped. The grounds are spacious enough that you never feel like you are right on top of other guests, which makes the whole property feel calm and private.

A few things that really stood out to me: bookings include wellness-focused experiences like yoga on the beach, hydrotherapy, and even horseback riding. They also offer afternoon tea every day at 4, which feels so perfectly on-brand for the relaxed, refined atmosphere of the resort.

Kids are allowed here, but I would be very thoughtful about who I recommend it to. There are kid activities or waterparks, so it would need to be the right kind of kid and the right kind of family.

My takeaway: Zoëtry Punta Cana would be beautiful for a wellness getaway, romantic escape, ladies retreat, mother-daughter trip, or anyone who wants quiet luxury over high-energy all-inclusive fun.

This resort is for travelers who want to slow down, feel restored, and actually come home relaxed.

JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar is one of those resorts that feels like you have stepped into a completely different world.

It is the smallest, adults-only property within the Iberostar Bávaro complex, with only 272 rooms, and that smaller size really does make a difference. The resort feels calm, elevated, and exclusive, but you still have access to more restaurants, bars, entertainment, shows, the casino, and the disco throughout the larger Iberostar resort area.

That combination is what makes JOIA so interesting. You get the quiet, polished adults-only atmosphere when you are at the resort, but you are not limited to one small property if you want more to do in the evening.

The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the resort has a compact U-shaped layout that makes it easy to navigate. It feels intimate without feeling boring.

Two things really stood out to me here.

First, the pirate ship in the middle of the resort. It is such a fun and unexpected feature, and before dinner it turns into the place everyone seems to gather. It gives the resort a little personality without taking away from the luxury feel.

Second, the dining. The restaurants felt more like themed experiences than just places to eat. Everything had a thoughtful, immersive feel, which made dining here feel like part of the vacation instead of just another meal.

Because it is also close to the Punta Cana airport, I think JOIA Bávaro would be an amazing option for adults wanting a four-day weekend, couples trip, anniversary getaway, or a more elevated adults-only escape without a long transfer.

My takeaway: JOIA Bávaro feels luxurious, compact, beautiful, and exclusive, but with the bonus of having the larger Iberostar complex nearby when you want more options.

We stayed at Secrets Royal Beach and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana during our site inspection trip, and both had so much to love.

Secrets Royal Beach = amazing beach, fun entertainment, Preferred Club perks, and great energy.
Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana = polished, romantic, outstanding food, beautiful swim-outs, and gorgeous Cap Cana views.

Both are great, but for different travelers, which is why seeing them in person makes such a difference.
