It’s not. 🎄✨

Because the families who want the best holiday trips are already starting to plan ahead.

And Disney at Christmas?
There is truly nothing like it.

Sandals Royal Caribbean has some exciting changes on the way, and this renovation is looking like a serious upgrade. 🌴✨

The resort is currently expected to welcome guests again in December 2026, and from what has been shared so far, it looks like the entire arrival, pool, dining, and room experience is getting a more polished, luxury feel.

A few things worth watching:

🌊 The entrance area appears to be getting a beautiful new pool feature with a beach-view backdrop
🍹 The main pool area is expected to include a swim-up bar
🍽️ A Parasol restaurant concept is being added
☕ A Blum coffee shop is listed in the updates
🏡 The renovated rooms and overwater bungalows look like they will have a fresher, more elevated design style

There are still a few details that look like they may not be fully finalized yet, especially around the restaurant lineup, so I’ll be watching for official updates as the reopening gets closer.

But overall? This looks like a big transformation for Sandals Royal Caribbean.

I love a spontaneous vacation.

But Epic Universe is not the part of your Universal Orlando trip I would wing. 😬

This is a brand-new theme park with a completely different flow, different demand, different crowds, and different planning strategy.
