Over 70% of entrepreneurs work more than 40 hours per week.

Can you relate?

This is one of the toughest parts about being self employed.

So many things to do, and so little time to do them…

Have you ever considered that you may want to improve your time management skills?

Here’s a little tip:

Give up multitasking entirely.

Working on two things simultaneously is a great way to finish neither.

Instead, make a list of priorities and focus on completing those one by one.

Turn off your phone while you're working and respond to those emails at the end of the day.

You’ll be amazed at how your productivity skyrockets :)

Feeling like there's not enough of you to go around?

This is a common problem for entrepreneurs.

So many phone calls, meetings, emails, lunches, and more – there's hardly any time to get any real work done!

And when you finally do get crackin’ away – buzz buzz – another incoming message.

It’s all too much.

So try to make yourself less available.

Schedule yourself time to respond to emails, messages, voicemails, and whatever other communications are bogging you down.

Leave this to once or twice a day.

You’ll quickly see how much more you can get done, and that overwhelming feeling will disappear in no time :)

Let's face it: entrepreneurial life can be risky business!

More often than not, it's your money on the line – and it's up to you alone to ensure that everything is being done to keep the business afloat.

On the flip side, being employed by a large corporation can provide great stability – at the cost of some of your personal freedom.

There is no one correct way to live your life, and your preference will be based on your situation, lifestyle, and personality.

Would you rather take the risk and be your own boss, or work for someone else?

Business coaching tip #00459:

Dump the to-do list.

Wait, seriously? How am I supposed to deal with everything that needs to get done?

Here’s the thing: your to-do list is actually holding you back.

Constantly multitasking, putting the urgent tasks first – this leaves you perpetually on the brink of fumbling your responsibilities.

We recommend instead to build a priority list.

The difference lies in the fact that your priority list will be shorter – 3 or 4 essential tasks per week – that's it!

This will help you see things from an outside perspective and focus on completing the strategic tasks necessary to achieve your long term goals.

You’ll then be able to allocate your time accordingly, and will notice that you have a lot more clarity of thought – which will allow you to work in a way that is much more sustainable long term.

So burn that to-do list, and carve your priorities in stone!

Your wallet, and your body, will thank you :)

Looking to get the most out of your business coaching sessions?

We would be too – so here’s a little tip to really get down to the nitty gritty with your coach!

Make a checklist to prepare for each session, and take notes.

Some questions you can ask yourself:

-How do I feel after the previous session?
-How am I feeling now?
-Have I accomplished my goals from the last session?
-If I didn’t, what stopped me?
-What do I want to include in my next session?

A business coach will show you the path to enlightenment, but as with anything worthwhile, you’re going to have to walk down that path one step at a time, on your own two feet!

The tricky thing about being self-employed is that it feels like there's always more you could be doing, and that your business could always be doing better.

Knowing that we all get by with a little help from our friends, you consider looking for some professional advice.

Then you are faced with a question:

Should I go with business coaching, or business counseling?

And what is the difference anyways?

While a business coach may give you advice and insight into the inner workings of your business, they will be far less focused on the specifics of your operation than on your personal growth as a businessperson.

The point of business coaching is to show you how to break free from the personal chains that keep you from achieving greater levels of success, so you can acquire the skills necessary for prosperity in whatever business venture you may pursue.

A business consultant on the other hand is meant to bring his or her expertise to the table – to analyze the specifics of your operation and provide you with advice on how to eliminate problems and increase revenue.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

The choice is yours ;)
