🚧 I-80/35 Overnight Closures Feb. 22 and 25 🚧

The Iowa Department of Transportation will close I-80/35 between the Southwest Mixmaster and Iowa 141 overnight on the following dates:

🚧 Northbound I-80/35 will be closed to traffic on Sunday, February 22, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. The backup date for inclement weather is Monday, February 23.

🚧 Southbound I-80/35 will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, February 25, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. The backup date for inclement weather is Thursday, February 26.

Crews will install overhead trusses for signs along the interstate during the closures. Motorists can follow a marked detour route using NW Urbandale Drive, 100th Street, Valley West Drive, and I-235. Visit iowadot.gov/dsminterstates for more information.

Well... Its time. Iowa's 5th season is about to start. By that I mean Construction Season. 🦺 ⚠️ You remember that right? It falls after the first week of Spring and ends right before the last week of what we used to call Summer.

🚧 Starting Monday, April 21st, the Interstate southbound on-ramp from Hickman Road and the Southbound off-ramp to University will close though mid to late August. 😡 🤬 🙁 🚧

🚧Heavy traffic in that area will need to reroute west on Hickman, to NW128th, where it will either go north or south, depending on your destination. Douglas and University will also be heavily impacted. 🚧

Please take extra care in these areas. Watch for speed zones and allow for extra time to get where your going. 😁 ⏱ 🚓

The moose out front should have told you, except, we don't have a moose. So instead, look at the attached map for closures and detour routes. Drive safe all. It will be October before you know it.
