Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening of the Clinton Aerospace Education Center!

We want to thank the Clinton Municipal Airport Commission, Mayor Richard McCormick, County Judge Dale James, the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, and everyone who helped make this event a success. A special thank you to Bank OZK for generously sponsoring lunch.

We also want to thank Congressman French Hill for his continued support of aviation and workforce development, Superintendent Tim Smith and Clinton Public Schools, Dr. Rick Massengale, Laura Berry, Sarah Westfall, and the entire North Arkansas College team, as well as the Dawson family for their vision, leadership, and commitment to creating new opportunities for students across our region.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone in the community who came out to celebrate this exciting milestone with us. This was more than the opening of a building, it was the beginning of new opportunities for students, our community, and the future of aviation in north central Arkansas.

This new facility marks an exciting milestone for the aviation training program, providing a dedicated space to prepare the next generation of aviation professionals.

Trevor, Airport Manager and Laura Berry with North Arkansas College had the opportunity to meet with Congressman French Hill yesterday to discuss the aviation maintenance training program held at Clinton Municipal Airport.

Through a partnership between Clinton High School, North Arkansas College, Dawson Aircraft, and Clinton Municipal Airport, students have the opportunity to earn college credit, receive hands-on aviation maintenance training, and work toward a Certificate of Proficiency that can help lead toward their A&P certification.

Congressman Hill’s office also played an important role in helping secure grant funding for the facilities used to house the college program at the airport, helping make opportunities like this possible for students in our community.

Programs like this help prepare students for high-demand careers in aviation while also creating workforce opportunities here in Central Arkansas.

The new Aviation Education Building at the Clinton Municipal Airport is coming together. This project represents a major investment in the future of our community.

This new facility will create opportunities for students to learn aviation maintenance right here in Clinton through a partnership with NorthArk and Clinton High School. Once completed, the building will include classroom space and hands-on training opportunities using real aircraft at the airport.

For students interested in a high-demand, high-paying career field, this program offers a real path forward.

NOW HIRING:
The Clinton Airport Commission is seeking a dependable and organized individual to serve as Airport Secretary. This part-time position provides administrative and financial support to the commission and works closely with airport management to maintain accurate records, financial documentation, and communications necessary for the effective operation of the municipal airport.

Salary: $500 – $1,000 per month (depending on qualifications and experience)
Estimated Hours: 10–20 hours per month
Application Period: March 9 – March 19

We’re happy to share that Clinton Municipal Airport has received another grant from the Arkansas Division of Aeronautics. This funding will go toward improving our hangars and enhancing airport security fencing.
