I want to personally reach out regarding recent news reports involving Puerto Vallarta. I understand that headlines can sometimes create understandable concern, especially when you have upcoming travel plans to Mexico. Please know that your safety, comfort, and peace of mind are always my top priorities.
It is important to clarify that Puerto Vallarta is located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, while Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Playa Mujeres are located on the Caribbean Coast—over 1,300 miles away. These are entirely separate regions, with different local governments, tourism infrastructures, and operating environments.
The Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Playa Mujeres areas remain among the most established, secure, and heavily supported tourism destinations in the Western Hemisphere. These destinations welcome millions of visitors each year, and the resorts and surrounding areas maintain strong safety protocols, dedicated tourism security, and well-developed infrastructure designed specifically to support international travelers.
I am in regular contact with resort partners, destination management teams, and trusted industry sources. At this time, there are no disruptions or advisories impacting travel to Cancun, Riviera Maya, or Playa Mujeres. Travel operations, airport arrivals, transfers, and resort experiences are continuing normally.
As always, I carefully monitor conditions in every destination where my clients travel. Should any situation arise that would impact your trip, you would hear from me directly with clear guidance and support.
