We recently worked with a customer who lives in California, but is buying an RV in New Jersey. But, instead of flying out to take delivery, she's having the motorhome driven coast-to-coast by a professional truck driver. I had a great conversation with Frank, from www.rentedtruckdriver.com, who is providing this great service, and he shared that they also often drive RVs for "snowbirds" when they migrate back and forth from north to south. What a great service for those who can't (or prefer not to) drive their big rig for thousands of miles! If you need help to move your RV we recommend that you check them out.

Do you really need to have a brand new RV inspected? I recently expected a brand new fifth wheel from a brand with a good reputation. Of the three slide out rooms, one didn’t work at all, one only partially deployed, and the last was out of alignment. Weird Jack didn’t work. Awning didn’t work. A small sealant issue on the roof. Fortunately, the dealership is ready, willing, and able to repair these things before delivery.

We're back! We've been on a long vacation RVing across America, and we've heard the same laments from so many other RVers. "I bought a new RV and after our first trip it was in the shop for 9 months waiting on parts for warranty repairs!" "The seller told me everything was working, but when we took it out the front air conditioner wasn't working and it cost $$$ to fix." "We wish we'd known about RV inspectors BEFORE we bought our rig!" We're eager to help you know exactly what's right and wrong with your dream RV so that you can make an informed decision before you buy. Give us a call and let's talk!

The weather is warming up here in NJ, and we are ready to help you make a fully informed decision before purchasing an RV. New or used, never take delivery before having an independent, unbiased inspection.

Performing a pressure test to check for propane leaks during an RV inspection. This coach passed with flying colors, but from time to time we discover a leak and save our clients from driving away in a very dangerous vehicle. We can do leak testing in most RVs and recommend regular safety checks for all owners.

If you've been trying to buy an RV, you know how hard they can be to find. Here's a great article about the current RV shortage and the reasons behind it.

One implication for consumers that isn't mentioned is build quality! With manufacturers scrambling to get parts, and buying those parts from previously unknown companies, the chances of mistakes grow exponentially! Especially when they factories are cranking out vehicles as fast as they can.

At Eagle Eye RV Inspectors, we often take as much as eight hours to inspect your new RV, making sure we find potential problems BEFORE you take delivery. Vist our webpage or give us a call to find out how we can help you start your RV journey right!

PRO TIP: Recently we've had several clients cancel scheduled inspections because the seller sold the RV to someone else while they were waiting! It's a crazy market these days, so whenever possible we encourage our clients to put down a deposit "pending inspection" on any RV you are truly interested in buying.

FAQ: Can I reserve an inspection date before completing an inspection agreement and paying for the inspection?
When you complete an agreement and pay for your inspection we lock that date in for you, even if someone with a bigger rig or a more lucrative inspection comes our way. Of course all inspections are scheduled "weather permitting." After all, we love our jobs and we love our clients, but not enough to climb on the roof of an RV when it's covered in ice or in the midst of a storm! When weather happens we'll do our best to reschedule your inspection as soon as possible!
