Just fulfilled our duty as citizen scientists. This winter was particularly harsh. Lost 57% of the colonies to 1) varroa, 2) freezing temperatures, 3) moisture. Interestingly, all survivors were from the previous year’s survivor stock. Here’s to good genetics! Looking forward to spring splits.
