Earlier this week, our team from the Claremore Regional Airport joined fellow business and community leaders in Oklahoma City for the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Day at the Capitol.

This event created a valuable opportunity to connect directly with state legislators sharing insights, discussing key challenges and strengthening partnerships that support Claremore’s continued growth. Alongside broader community priorities, we were especially proud to highlight the vital role of aerospace in our region. From infrastructure investment and workforce development to supporting innovation in aviation, these conversations are essential to ensuring Claremore remains competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.

We appreciate the Claremore Area Chamber for bringing together voices from across our community and creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and advocacy.

Claremore Regional Airport team members Colby Linder and Leighton Polk were proud to join more than 1,000 industry leaders, educators, students and military personnel at Oklahoma’s annual AERO Oklahoma Day at the State Capitol.

This event serves as an important platform for meaningful conversations between the aerospace workforce and state legislators, focused on sustaining and expanding Oklahoma’s second-largest industry. It also shines a spotlight on the wide range of career pathways available, helping to inspire and connect with the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals.

Our team was honored to represent Claremore Regional Airport and highlight the work being done locally to support and strengthen the state’s aerospace ecosystem. The day was made even more memorable as it marked Leighton’s first visit to the Capitol.

Experiences like this reinforce the importance of collaboration, advocacy and continued investment in Oklahoma’s aerospace industry. Our team is proud to play a part of that momentum moving forward.
