08/26/2026

Today we moved a 41x140 hog barn. An upgraded building is going in its place on the existing foundation. The building will be moved and elevated 18’ to the rafter. New 2x6 walls will be installed and the steel beams will be removed. A hydrostatic drive unit in the front and rear of the building propels the structure with a hand held remote control.

We moved this 32x54 log home and a 30x64 post frame shop in central Mn. We needed to maintain a loaded height of under 29’ to get under two transmission lines on the way to the new site.
We had a few rain delays, with an otherwise very smooth move.

Part 4
We are back to the farm house.
The foundation is installed and we are lowering it. We will be installing steel beams to create large rooms in the lower level.

The unified jacking machine we use will lift or lower the building level, regardless of an off-balance load.
Next the porch, garage and an elevator will be installed!

We have used the Gehl skidloader for almost 40 years. Most recently the Gehl V400 since they started building it. They have discontinued this model and pretty much changed everything we liked about the V400. Great side visibility, heavy lifting, responsive controls, ability to load a full dump truck, good power turning with loads, low cab height and very balanced up and down inclines. We are looking at some other makes/models. What do you guys like or are having luck with? Let me know in the comments!

Today we elevated this home in southwest Mn for a new foundation.
The old foundation was absolutely shot. I don’t think it would have made another year. The garage is a new addition and has a newer concrete foundation. It has been elevated and will return to its original concrete wall.

It’s a scorcher outside today!🥵🥵

Part 3
We are back to the Farm House. The house has been elevated and the foundation has been removed. The final 4” to footing elevation should get finished this afternoon. After the foundation is installed, we will return to lower the house.

Part 2
Today we installed the steel and elevated the farm house about 18”.
Thursday we will jack it an additional 20”, begin removing the old foundation and dig to footing elevation for a full basement install.

Part 1
This is an elevation project for a new foundation. The house currently has a small basement in the NW corner. Once the house is jacked up, the old foundation will be removed, and the new foundation will be installed. This will be a 4 part video on the process of installing new basements under existing homes. These videos should answer a lot of questions about the process - start to finish.

Day 2:
Today was move day!
Here is a video of us turning a corner off Hwy 19 in Vesta MN. This is a closer look at how our dollies operate while making a corner.
The house was moved to the new site , elevated and waiting for a new foundation to be built under it.
