Metro is proud to share that we have recently received four local and national awards recognizing excellence in safety, innovation, community partnerships and public service.

Among the honors, Metro earned APTA’s 2026 Bus Safety & Security Excellence Gold Award, the association’s highest national recognition for bus safety and security programs. Metro was also recognized alongside the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program with a 2026 Great Places Award for a collaborative project focused on creating more welcoming and accessible bus stops.

Locally, Metro received the Donald and Marian Spencer "Spirit of America Award" from the Cincinnatus Association. Further highlighting Metro's community partnerships, the organization was named Best Overall Partner by Adopt A Class for our commitment to supporting students, educators and mentorship programs that help prepare the next generation of leaders.

These recognitions reflect the work of our employees, partners and community members who help us build a safer, more connected region. Visit https://www.go-metro.com/cincinnati-metro-earns-national-and-regional-recognition-for-safety-innovation-and-community-impact/ for more information.
