Social media policy: https://www.go-metro.com/policies/ -tabs-tab2 The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is a tax-supported, independent political subdivision of the State of Ohio and is a government entity. SORTA operates Metro fixed-route bus service and Access paratransit service for people whose disabilities prevent their riding Metro buses. SORTA is governed by a 16-member volunteer citizens’ board of trustees. Eleven trustees are appointed by Hamilton County and five are appointed by the City of Cincinnati. Three of the Hamilton County appointees are non-voting trustees representing Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties.

Congratulations to Metro’s Finance team on receiving the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction for our 2025 audit.

Fewer than 4% of public agencies in Ohio receive this recognition, and Metro is proud to be the only transit system in the state to earn the award, now for the second consecutive year. Great work to our Finance team on this achievement!

We're proud to announce that Metro has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 OKI Regional Council of Governments funding awards!

Through this funding, Metro will receive $6 million to replace seven diesel buses with new low-floor hybrid eGen Flex buses, helping modernize our fleet and continue providing reliable service throughout the region.

BLINK starts today!

Reminder: Government Square will close nightly at 6 p.m. during BLINK October 8 - 11, and all Metro routes that normally serve Government Square will temporarily pick up and drop off at the Riverfront Transit Center (RTC).

Use this map to find your route's temporary boarding location before your trip. Whether you're heading to BLINK or traveling through downtown, be sure to plan ahead. Learn more about taking Metro to BLINK at go-metro.​com/blink/.

Heading to BLINK Oct. 8–11? With the event spanning more than 30 city blocks, your usual Metro route may take a different path. Check the detour maps below to plan your ride and use the Transit app to track your bus in real time.

You can also board or exit at any Metro stop along your route’s designated detour. When you see your bus approaching, make yourself visible to the operator and give a wave to let them know you’d like to board.

Reminder: Government Square will close from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. each night of BLINK, and service is being relocated to the Riverfront Transit Center.
