Yesterday we visited the Ice Castles location in Lake George, NY! Weather has been a little questionable lately, and after hearing about Wisconsin closing theirs after only 3 days… we were grateful we got to enjoy it! The sun was out all day, so lots of melting ice. I’m not sure how long the season will last for them with all the fluctuating temperatures and conditions. But I hope lots of others can enjoy it before they wrap it up this season!!

Today is our Aunt Kiki’s birthday!! She LOVES exploring and going on adventures as much as we do!!

Fun fact: while on a road trip with our mom for spring break last year, we ran into Aunt Kiki and Uncle Matt at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia!
We knew they were driving through at the same time, but from the opposite direction. We weren’t sure if we’d lose cell service, so we had to just keep an eye on the cars we passed. Luckily it was right near a scenic overlook, so we were able to hang out for a bit in the middle of our own separate road trips! 😄

(Also, Shenandoah is an amazing park! We’ll save additional photos for another post!)

It’s National Plan for Vacation Day!!

Here in upstate New York, the snow and cold make it easy to daydream about warmer days and fun in the sun. But many only dream, and don’t actually plan trips! Take some time to plan out some fun for 2023! Daily to-do lists are important, but so are bucket lists.

We’d love to hear what you have planned for this year! 🚙✈️🛳️

Em started adventuring back in 2013! Some of her very first trips include Adirondacks, African Lion Safari (Cambridge, Ontario), coastal Maine, Bridge of Flowers in Massachusetts, and Myrtle Beach! She was only about 2 months old when she first “tagged along” for some geocaching fun! Almost 10 years later, she still loves searching for treasures, and plans to help mom hide some of their own caches very soon. 😄

Death Valley is a location we would love to return to at some point!! It is the largest U.S. National Park, outside of Alaska! We visited Badwater Basin, Zabriskie Point, Artists Pallete, and Furnace Creek Visitor Center in December 2021. It is always fun seeing people’s photos taken with the digital thermometer outside of the visitor’s center. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Furnace Creek was 134°F in 1913! 😳 It was a comfortable 54° in the dead of winter for us! 😬

We enjoyed walking several miles on the salt flats of Badwater Basin, which is the lowest point in America!

Thanks for following our page!

With help from our Mom (Angela) and Aunt Kiki (Kristen), we plan to share photos, experiences, and useful tips from locations we’ve visited throughout the US! Traveling with kids can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! Whether it’s a day trip, weekend getaway, or a more lengthy vacation, there are creative ways to plan and organize for any type of trip. It’s about having fun and making memories! We want to focus on the endless benefits of these adventures, and hope you start planning more of your own!!
