It's been a rough few years, but I'm catching up. Right now, it's just my Breitling and Omega. No Rolexes yet, but we're aiming for that, and a decent car. The comeback is real.

Insurance companies don't just care where you're based—they track where you drive. Logging heavy mileage in high-claims, high-lawsuit states will spike your rates.

Many modern policies now connect directly to your ELD, charging you a higher rate per mile the moment you cross into a high-risk state. Protect your margins by aligning your coverage with your actual routes.

The national averages are absolutely smoking right now, so there is zero excuse for leaving money on the table.

Dry van is sitting at a crazy $2.85 national average, which means you need to be pushing past $3.00 on your lanes. Flatbeds are holding strong at $2.64, and re**ers are absolutely killing it at a heavy $3.34 a mile. The capacity is tight and the money is moving.

Are you beating the national average or letting brokers dictate your rates this week? 👇

Every factoring company claims they are the fastest and the best, but the noise out there is crazy!!

If you are looking to switch or starting out, you need to look at OTR Solutions. They are backed by DAT, offer lightning-fast funding, and provide non-recourse options so you aren't left holding the bag if a broker doesn't pay. Stop guessing with random companies.

Just ran my first week managing strictly flatbeds instead of dry vans. I only dispatch three of them right now, but we pulled in a solid $4.48 per mile average.

Even with it being a short holiday/DOT week, the numbers held up beautifully. Flatbeds are proving to be a lot smoother to book and manage than dry vans right now. It allowed me to clear the board early, shoot content, and keep assets moving at high margins.

Are you seeing flatbed rates outperforming dry van in your regional lanes this month?

Dispatching flatbeds this Friday! We've got trucks in New Springfield, Ohio; Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and Tifton, Georgia. Freight brokers and direct customers in these areas, reach out for loads. We're working on a better system for all our trucks!

Stop going to dead zones like Connecticut, Iowa, or Montana. People complain they aren't making money, but it’s because they’re chasing a single high-paying load into a black hole.

Even a $7/mile load to Montana loses you money when you waste days deadheading back out. Stay in the hot market hubs and pop short-mile "two-bangers" every single day where the capacity is actually tight and the volume is stable.

Are you still tanking your profits by deadheading out of dead zones?

When you look at a Certificate of Insurance (COI), cargo is the absolute most critical part. It’s the one coverage that will make or break your business and dictate whether you actually get loads from brokers and shippers.

Plus, if you're running specialized freight like re**er or flatbed, missing specific endorsements will get you cut off instantly. Cargo keeps your trucks moving and protects your broker relationships.

Is your cargo policy actually covering your specific trailer type, or are you running at risk?
