Rocky Mountaineer’s Canadian train journeys offer some wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities, right from the comfort of the glass-dome coaches. Among other creatures, bighorn sheep 🐏, bald eagles 🦅, grizzlies, and black bears bear🐻 are common on all three routes, but you’re most likely to see elk while you’re in Jasper National Park aboard either the Journey Through the Clouds or Rainforest to Gold Rush routes.

Rest assured, if you’re onboard Rocky Mountaineer and wildlife has been spotted, your Host will make sure that everyone knows. You’ll hear them announce ‘bear on the left’ or ‘moose on the right’ and all the guests will move to one side of the train to catch the spectacle!
