💈🚚 Moving stuff is pretty awesome. But you know what else is fun to move? HAIR. OFF YOUR HEAD.

Last week, our esteemed Jack of All Trades, Jose, temporarily transformed the Move-tastic! warehouse into Barber-tastic! and lined up a couple of the guys with some fresh cuts. ✂️🔥

Mover? Handyman? Warehouse wizard? Barber?

At this point, we’re not entirely sure what Jose’s official job description is anymore.

🦆✈️🍕 It’s Tuesday Crewsday! This week we’re featuring 6'6" Antwon, one of the tallest movers on the Move-tastic! roster. At 6'6", Antwon doesn’t need a step ladder. He IS the step ladder.

We asked him the important questions:

🦆 One horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses? One giant duck.

At 6'6", Antwon apparently saw this less as a hypothetical and more as a fair matchup.

✈️ Free plane ticket anywhere tonight? Dubai.

Go big or go home. Preferably in first class with adequate legroom.

🍕🍔🌮🍗 Eliminate one forever: pizza, burgers, tacos or wings? WINGS.

A controversial decision. The Buffalo wing community has been notified.

🎬 Movie you’ve watched an embarrassing number of times? Home Alone.

So basically Antwon wants to fly to Dubai, fight a mutant duck, eliminate wings from society, and then unwind by watching Kevin McCallister assault two burglars for the 147th time.
We respect it.

🎨♻️ It’s time to Move Good and Do Good!

Today’s donation goes to The WasteShed, an awesome organization dedicated to giving art supplies a second life while keeping perfectly good creative materials out of landfills.

Basically, they looked at a pile of old paintbrushes, fabric scraps, markers, yarn, and miscellaneous crafty doodads and said:
“That’s not garbage. That’s somebody’s next masterpiece.”

Instead of tossing unused art supplies, The WasteShed gets them back into the hands of artists, teachers, students, and other creative humans who can actually use them.

So before you throw away that giant box of craft supplies you swore you'd use someday... give The WasteShed a look!

⛏️🚚 Every month we hand out the Andre Lyons Award to the mover who DIGS IN the most—stepping up, helping other crews, and going above and beyond when we need it.

Yes, we realize it’s already September.

No, our awards department does not own a calendar.

So without further delay, August’s Andre Lyons Award goes to MARIO! 🏆

Mario repeatedly stepped up when other crews needed a hand and proved that when the call goes out for help, he’s ready to jump in and GET WORK DONE.

Congrats, Mario! Thanks for digging in and being the kind of teammate everyone wants on their crew. 💪🚚

It’s Tuesday Crewsday! This week we’re featuring one of our awesome movers, Walter!

We hit him with the important questions:

🍌 What are you weirdly good at?

Buying the exact amount of bananas at the exact right level of greenness.

That’s not a skill. That’s potassium wizardry. The rest of us are either staring at six green rocks or making emergency banana bread.

🏀 All-time favorite Chicago athlete?

Derrick Rose.

🌹 Correct.

🐶 If dogs could talk for five minutes, what’s the first thing you’d ask?

“Would you rather I talk to you like a normal person, or do you actually like the baby talk?”

FINALLY. Someone asking the question humanity desperately needs answered. WHO’S A GOOD BOYYYY?!

So there you have it: Walter moves furniture, respects D-Rose, understands bananas at a molecular level, seeks answers from dogs, and apparently turns into Billy Joel after two beers and a microphone. 🎹

🏆🚚 WE HAVE A NEW DAD!

Relax, nobody had a baby.

At last week’s All Team Meeting, Ben was crowned our newest DAD — Dope Ass Driver!

Ben earned the hardware by doing all the things that make a great Move-tastic! driver:

🚚 Takes amazing care of his truck
🛡️ Keeps everything inside safe
✅ Follows the rules of the road
✅ 💪 Treats our equipment like it’s his own
✅
Being a great mover is one thing. Being trusted behind the wheel of one of our big ol’ trucks is another—and Ben has proven he’s got what it takes.
