If you’re like me and juggling a lot of credit cards, remembering which one to use for every purchase is basically impossible.
Dining, groceries, travel, rotating categories, card cash back offers are a lot to track. And if you’re not using the right card, you’re leaving points (and real money) on the table.

I’ve actually been using CardPointers for the past few months, and it’s become one of those tools that helps me travel hack better without even thinking about it.

It tells you exactly which credit card to use for every purchase, helps track credit card offers, and makes it way easier to maximize points, miles, and cash back.
But is it actually worth paying for?

CardPointers review from a points and miles enthusiast. Learn how I keep track of credit cards, earn more points, and never miss offers or credits.

If you’re shopping online without a shopping portal, you’re leaving free points, miles, and cash back on the table.

It takes seconds and costs nothing, but it can make a real difference in your points and miles accrual. Shopping portals are an easy way to increase your earnings without opening a new credit card.

I use shopping portals whenever I can to earn extra rewards on top of my credit card points.

If you’re shopping online without using a shopping portal… you’re missing out on free points, miles, or cash back.

This is one of the easiest travel hacks out there and somehow still one of the most overlooked or ignore.

Here’s how it works:
- Click through a shopping portal before you buy
- Earn bonus points or cash back on top of your credit card
- Stack points and miles for even more free travel

We’re talking:
💻 Buying something you already need
✈️ Earning enough points for future travel
💰 Or just getting straight cash back

And it takes 10 extra seconds.

In my latest post, I break down:
✔️ What online shopping portals are
✔️ The best portals to use for points, miles, or cash back
✔️ How to stack rewards for maximum return

Read it here:

Chase Freedom Q2 categories are live, and this one is actually pretty easy to max out.

You’ll earn 5x Ultimate Rewards points (or 5% cash back) on Amazon, Whole Foods, Chase Travel, and even donations to Feeding America through June 30.

Honestly, Amazon alone makes this a strong quarter for most people (gift cards, everyday stuff, travel gear… it adds up fast).

A couple things to remember:
• You have to activate the categories
• 5% only applies to the first $1,500 in spend across all categories

If you have a Freedom or Freedom Flex card, this is one you don’t want to miss.

I broke it all down (plus how I'm planning to maximize it) here:

Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex Q2 2026 categories include Amazon, Chase Travel, and Feeding America. Earn 5x Ultimate Rewards points on up to $1,500 in spending.

Q2 Chase Freedom categories are here—and this one’s EASY to max out.

Amazon + groceries + travel = 7,500 points for future travel

Don’t forget:
• Activate your categories
• $1,500 quarterly cap
• Ends June 30

Are you maxing this one out?

Just published my latest blog post—this one breaks down the Chase Freedom Flex and how I actually use it in a real travel rewards setup.

I’ve been using cards like this as part of a broader strategy to maximize my earnings in my preferred points ecosystem (Chase Ultimate Rewards). The rotating categories on the Freedom Flex allow me to earn 5x on spend I make anyway (groceries, dining, Amazon, etc.) without paying an annual fee. AND this card transfers points to my Sapphire to take advantage of Chase's travel partners.

In the post, I go into:
• How I personally use it alongside other cards
• When it makes sense (and when it doesn’t)
• The value of the rotating 5% categories
• How to think about pairing it with other Chase cards

If you’re trying to simplify your setup but still maximize points, this is a good one to look at.

Chase Freedom Flex review: 5% rotating categories, no annual fee, Ultimate Rewards points, and how to maximize long-term value.

The Chase Freedom Unlimited is actually my everyday credit card.

Not because it’s flashy—but because it fits how I travel.

I’d rather earn 1.5x Chase points than 2x on something like the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card…

Because Chase points are more valuable for the way I redeem and travel.

I pair this with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, which lets me transfer points to travel partners—where the real value is.

This is why it’s the one card I use the most.

Is this card in your rotation?

I just published a review of the Chase Freedom Unlimited — one of the most popular no-annual-fee cards out there. This is my every day credit card on non-elevated categories because of the 1.5x UR earnings. Yes, there are cards that earn 2x, but not in points currencies I'd actually use.
