DID YOU KNOW? That CVSA decal is not a free pass.

A fresh CVSA decal looks good on the truck, but don’t get too comfortable. 🚛

If a truck or trailer passes a Level I or Level V inspection with no critical vehicle violations, it may qualify for a CVSA decal that can stay valid for up to 3 months.

That matters because it shows the equipment was recently checked and passed clean, and it may lower the chance of another full vehicle inspection. But here’s the part some drivers forget: it does not make you inspection-proof.

Your logs, HOS, paperwork, CDL, medical card, seat belt, load securement, and visible defects can still get attention. The decal speaks for the equipment at that moment, not for every decision made after it.

So yes, a fresh decal is a win. But the real flex is keeping the truck clean every day, not just on inspection day.

If someone tells you to “just make it work,” “use PC,” or “fix the log later,” that can cross the line into prohibited coercion.
FMCSA reminded drivers that carriers, shippers, receivers, and brokers cannot pressure you to violate safety rules. 🚛⚠️

That includes HOS violations, false logs, unsafe equipment, overweight loads, or driving too tired to be safe. One load is never worth your license, record, or life. 🛑📋

Keep it professional:
“I can’t do that without violating safety regulations. Please send legal and safe instructions.” 💬✅

Then save the message, note the time, date, names, and load details. Protect the record before the story changes. 📱📝
