Southwest Airlines announced today that it will open its first-ever airport lounge network, in partnership with Chase.

The first four lounges are already under construction at Austin (AUS), Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Honolulu (HNL) and Nashville (BNA). Southwest expects the first location to open in late 2027.

At least seven more lounges are planned over the following several years, bringing the announced network to at least 11 locations. Southwest has not yet revealed those additional airports.

The lounges will include locally inspired food, upgraded amenities and design elements developed with Chase. A new premium Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card will launch in 2027 and include lounge access.

Southwest Airlines plans to open its own lounge network, in partnership with Chase. The first location will open in late 2027, with 11 outposts planned.
