Community is about showing up.

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to participate in another Serving Our Seniors (SOS) Outreach Project through the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce.

SOS is more than networking. It’s a great group of people who serve seniors and their families and who are willing to roll up their sleeves when someone in our community could use a helping hand.

This time, we came together for some much-needed outdoor cleanup and beautification at a senior’s home. It was great to see so many people working together to make a difference.

I’m grateful to be part of this group and for another opportunity to give back to seniors in our community.

At Transport-U, customer service is about more than getting someone from one place to another. It’s answering the phone, communicating with families, showing up when we say we will, being patient, and taking the time to listen.

We want to give a big shout-out to Transport-U, a local company providing dependable non-emergency medical transportation throughout the St. Louis area.

Transport-U helps seniors, individuals with mobility challenges, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and senior living communities get where they need to go safely and comfortably. Their services include wheelchair-accessible transportation, ambulatory transportation, medical appointments, dialysis, hospital and rehabilitation discharges, and transportation for family or community activities.
