Another trip around the sun completed... and just like freight, life rarely follows the route we planned.

Some days are smooth highways. Some days are construction zones, detours, delays, and unexpected challenges.

Today, on my 49th birthday, I spent the day doing what I do best—working freight and visiting my brand-new grandson.

And.... honestly, I can't think of a better reminder that the most important deliveries in life aren't always the ones on a truck.

Freight keeps moving. Time keeps moving. Families grow. New chapters begin.

Today I'm grateful for every lesson, every customer, every challenge that helped build 2Chicks Logistics, and every blessing that reminds me why I keep pushing forward.
49 years down.

A whole lot of miles traveled. And I have a feeling the best loads are still ahead. ❤️

Summer storms don't care about your delivery schedule. ⛈️

One thunderstorm can create traffic backups, road closures, and delays hundreds of miles away.

That's why freight brokers spend half their day moving freight and the other half watching weather maps.

Today looked a little different.

Instead of working from my office, I worked from a hospital room while supporting my daughter and waiting on the arrival of my very first grandson. 💙

It got me thinking about how much life and freight have in common...

Every shipment has a plan. Every load has a route. Every delivery has an estimated arrival time.

And then... circumstances happen.

Traffic. Weather. Construction. Breakdowns. Last-minute changes.
Life works the same way.

Sometimes the route isn't what was planned. Sometimes there are delays. Sometimes things happen that force a detour.

But... every now and then, a delivery comes along that reminds us exactly why the journey was worth it.

Today was one of those deliveries.

A beautiful baby boy arrived safely, and this Freight Queen couldn't be happier. 👑🚛💙

It's funny how fast things can change in freight.

One minute I'm wondering where all the shipments are hiding, and the next I'm juggling quotes, booking trucks, tracking freight, answering emails, and wondering if i slept the night before. 🤣

I'm not complaining, though. Busy beats boring every single time.

Longer days, heavier traffic, road construction, vacation schedules, produce season, and temperatures hot enough to fry an egg on a trailer deck.
