The Maryland Natural Resources Police is asking the Upper Bay community to be on the lookout for a missing 19-foot Bayliner, registration MD 2438 CA, that became disabled yesterday, May 28, on the Susquehanna Flats. The vessel was anchored, but has since broken free and may now be adrift in the area of the North East, Elk, or Sassafras River areas.

Sightings should be reported to NRP by calling 410-260-8888.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Cecil County in northeastern Maryland...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 521 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Riverside, or over Aberdeen, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include... Elkton, Calvert, North East, Charlestown, Cecilton, Warwick, Zion, Blake, Barksdale, Lombard, Bohemias Mills, Andora, Brantwood, Pleasant Hill, Cherry Hill, Cayots, Fair Hill, Glen Westover, Bay View, and Hollywood Beach.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
