Fair Winds Family…Please Read❤️
Labor Day weekend is always a BIG weekend at Fair Winds…our guests love to stay 3 or 4 nights to enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet Fair Winds has to offer. This Labor Day weekend, Jason and I have BIG news. We have chosen to close this chapter in our lives to explore the next one. Our family has spent the last 13 years building this business, making new friendships and helping to create memories for our Fair Winds family. We are ready to take a step back from the hospitality business and spend more time with our own family and pursue some dreams that have been put on the back burner. We have put much time and effort into finding a good fit for our Fair Winds business and we are excited to say that we were able to close this chapter on September 1st. The Richison Family is excited to continue to share Fair Winds with you allI and I will be helping them for the next 30 days to learn all the things that has kept our many repeat customers returning to what they call their happy place! We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our guests…many have become like family. I know the new owners want to serve you just as we have served in the past. We will introduce them in the days ahead. While this is exciting news for our family, it is also bittersweet as we have made so many memories here over the years. Help us keep the memories alive by sharing a picture of one or more of your favorite memories at Fair Winds. We love you all and hope that you continue to enjoy this special place! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

White River, Oren Martin, and a portion of Hobo Road will be used as a bypass until MoDOT can repair the bridge on Highway 49. We are being told that this may take several months to be completed.

With the notable increase in traffic on the bypass roads the county will need to do scheduled maintenance. This maintenance will be done on Thursday July 23rd from 9:00am-12:00. During this three hour window no traffic beside emergency services will be allowed on the bypass roads.

The reason why we need to close the roads during this time is for the safety of our road crew and equipment. With the increased traffic, narrowed roads, hills, and blind corners we cannot ensure the safety of our crew.

We will have multiple personnel and pieces of equipment operating at the same time to get this done as quickly as possible.

Please make plans to avoid this area during the temporary closure. And we apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
