Our second time staying at River Valley Campground on the Cherokee Indian Reservation in NC. Never disappoints! Amazing views, quiet and we always seem to get the perfect site to hang our hammock over the river. I am absolutely in ❤️ with Cherokee, NC. It’s definitely been one of my favorite camping locations.

Tuesday was full exploring the Great Smoky Mountains. Steve had to work so the girls went adventuring on our own. Enjoyed hiking and exploring in the amazing fall colors and temps. We had two elk spotting so when Steve finished work we took him to see them too. Got our second passport stamp!

On Monday we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Cherokee. It was a magnificent drive! So many changes in the scenery depending on the direction and altitude. Enjoyed a picnic pb&j lunch at one of the overlooks. The pups even enjoyed the fresh air and views for days! We picked up our passports to the National Parks at the Asheville visitors center and got our first stamps.

When we left Myrtle Beach Sunday afternoon we didn’t know where exactly we were headed. Just knew we were chasing the pretty leaves 🍂 🍁! At about 7pm we landed in Asheville at a KOA. We couldn’t fully enjoy the beauty around us as it was getting dark. Woke up this morning in the mountains surrounded by some beautiful trees and crisp temps.

Arrived in North Myrtle Beach on Friday afternoon for a quick weekend stay. We wanted to celebrate someone special on their birthday. Stayed at Barefoot RV Resort and loved it there! The airport runway is adjacent to the resort and we could hear and see airplanes of all sizes taking off and landing all hours of the day/night. It was the best of both worlds… and ! Had dinner and played cards in the condo Friday night. Saturday we took a boat ride on the Sea Screamer, birthday dinner out and then birthday cake around the campfire. Sunday we packed up and finished the celebrating with a great breakfast and some life-size checkers. Now, the as we head to the .

After a full day of work, schooling, doctors appointments and getting Mini Pearl ready for the week, we didn’t hit the road until just before 5:00 last night. Immediately did a search for a place to stay and found the Point South/ Yemassee KOA just in South Carolina. Awoke this morning to beautiful crisp air and sun shining through the trees. Walked to their coffee shop/wine bar and enjoyed the southern hospitality and chai tea latte.

Life happened and we had to sell the OG Pearl. 😢 Many amazing memories were made with her and she got some of us through some dark times. Pearl never let us down and always took us exactly where we needed to be.

We couldn’t say good bye to rv travel though, we love it too much. Circumstances just fell into place and we are so blessed that this tiny travel trailer expectedly rolled into our lives this past weekend. My heart is so happy that it’s just in time for Fall! 🍁

Making her grand debut, let me introduce to you… Mini Pearl! She is petite and absolutely adorable and has everything we need (bunk bed model). We can’t wait to get to adding our own personal touches and really making her OURS!
