Do you have family in town? Want to celebrate school being out? Graduation, Weddings, family reunions or Fathers Day. Come take a ride on the historic scenic railroad. Outdoor seating to enjoy the summer sunshine. Rides are at 11am Saturday and 11am and 2pm Sunday. Exit 77 in Chehalis. Reserve seats or walk ups welcome 1st class and regular seats available.

PLEASE NOTE: The Steam Locomotive #15 repairs are underway. No date has yet been set to return the locomotive to service. Our Diesel Engine #6 will pull the train on excursions until such time as our Steam Engine is repaired.

Our Father’s Day BBQ is sold out Saturday. You can join us on our regular 2 hour excursions at 11am on Saturday, or at 11am and 2pm on Sunday. On June 13 and 14 and Father’s Day weekend, June 20 and 21, regular and 1st Class rides are at 11am and 2pm. Buy your tickets online at Steamtrainride.com. Exit 77 in Chehalis $16-$36 per person.

We always love sharing our story and our railroad with kids from our local schools. School days is an annual event between the last of May and first week in June. FROM THE ARCHIVES: "This is what 65 railroad cars loaded with logs look like from the new Weyerhaeuser Company locomotive on its way to South Bay.

"View shows rear end of brand new 1,500 horsepower diesel Chehalis Western Railway has just bought and put into service.

"Train follows a 60-mile route extending from loading yards in Pe Ell, in western Lewis County, to South Bay near Olympia.

"There, logs go into salt water for rafting to W-C mills at Everett."
