Tranco Remembers

This week leading up to Memorial Day, Tranco remembers and honors those who never made it home and the families without answers. To date, over 80,000 soldiers remain missing from our wars and conflicts with records back to WWII, from accounting which began in 1973.

We will fly these flags at our headquarters in remembrance of the service and dedication of these servicemembers.

TRANCO ANNOUNCES DAVID BRADFORD AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Tranco is pleased to announce David Bradford as Chief Operating Officer.

David is a seasoned transportation and logistics executive with more than 20 years of experience in sales, management, and media leadership within the trucking industry. Throughout his career, he has held key roles with industry-leading companies including U.S. Xpress, TransCard, Covenant Transport, and Lipsey Logistics. He was also part of the early development of Xpress Direct, which grew into one of the nation’s largest providers of on-demand trucking services.

Most recently, Mr. Bradford served as President of Firecrown Media, leading strategic growth and operations from January 2024 through October 2025. Prior to that, he spent more than nine years at FreightWaves, where he held leadership positions including Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President of Community Engagement. In these roles, he helped shape industry conversations, build influential partnerships, and expand audience engagement across the freight and transportation sectors.

Known for his deep industry knowledge and relationship-driven leadership style, Bradford has built a career at the intersection of logistics, media, technology, and community engagement.

David will bring his experience and engagement to the Tranco people and processes across all divisions of our company as we continue our upward trajectory in first-class transportation and logistics solutions.

Tranco Logistics is proud to recognize Desmond Brown as our Employee of the Month for April 2026!

Desmond is part of our JIS/JIT Team, aiding in our operations for VW and is recognized for his outstanding teamwork and commitment to "doing the job right...without compromise."

What's even more, Desmond only joined our team back in February, emerging as an example for his team very quickly.

!!! #1 AGAIN - Ray Shepherd Wins TTA Championship - 5-Axle Division !!!

Tranco would like to offer a truck-sized congratulations to Ray Shepherd Rayndawn Shepherd for winning 1st Place; 5-Axle Division at the 2026 TTA Truck Driving Championships in Murfreesboro this past weekend!

Ray and his safety partner, Patrick Green (division winner at the Safety Drive for a Cure in March), prepped extensively for the pre-trip, written, and skills-based exam which took place May 1-2. He's proud to bring home the first Tranco trophy from this high-stakes event.

The Tennessee Trucking Association was founded in 1930 and serves to represent truck-drivers from across the state. The TTA supports advocation, best safety practices and resources for drivers in addition to hosting charity events and workshops for the trucking industry throughout the year.

The TTA's Truck Driving Championship is held annually and is an open invitation to Tennessee drivers. This year, there were 18 contestants in the 5-axle division, with Ray bringing home his first win since competing in Tennessee. He is a previous 5-axle winner in Georgia twice, in 2017 and 2022.

All division winners will now proceed to the National Truck Driving Championships held this year in Pittsburgh from August 11-14th. Ray is up to the challenge, which is held completely indoors against a nationwide group of champions by division. We know he'll come out on top!

Mr. Shepherd began his driving career in the U.S. Army 37 years ago and has been with the Tranco team for over a year. He's a proud husband of 28 years, father of one, and grandfather to seven. When he's not setting the bar for his team behind the wheel, he's grilling out, watching the Bulldogs, or heading to the beach.

Help us congratulate Ray for representing the focus on safety culture here at Tranco so well, as we cheer him on for Nationals later this year.

John has been with Tranco for 3 1/2 years and currently serves as one of our direct regional drivers.
