I'm not a "wait-and-see" girl when it comes to weather and getting to my destination on time!

Hurricane Isaias had the potential to derail my flight out this coming Sunday, so here's what I did:

1) I always book changeable flights. I checked the fare difference to change from Sunday to Saturday, and it was actually a rebate of $17! 🤑

2) I updated hotel arrangements to shift everything a day earlier. An extra day in Maui? Poor me.... 🥺😜

3) I changed my travel insurance to shift the start date early by a day so that my new flights are covered. In my experience, it is flight snafus more than anything else that results in travel insurance claims. I never fly without it!

All that to say, I'm getting out ahead of it, and allowing plenty of margin should anything else try to break my stride! 🎵🎶

Had to share a giggle...

Karen and Mark are in Ireland right now on an anniversary trip. They are exploring the country on their own, with a rented car, GPS, and a sense of adventure!

When we were deciding on their overnight stops, one of the places I suggested was the very cool Ashford Castle in County Mayo. Well, Mark took a look at that, declared it looked haunted (and Googled to confirm it supposedly actually is!), and decided on a different property...without resident ghosts.

Fast forward to today, when they checked in to the other property to discover they'd been upgraded to a very nice suite (YAY!). That sounded fantastic! And then, they looked out their window....

Sorry, Mark! Looks like you can't escape the Irish ghosties! 👻 🤭 😂 🇮🇪

Some trips I get to plan are just a little extra special.

Deb and Fred wanted somewhere close to home but unique and memorable to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. This sweet couple found each other later in life and they’re living happily ever after together in such a beautiful way!! Everyone who knows them loves them!

I was thrilled to help them find Barnsley Resort, which has been wonderful for them. They stayed in the cutest cottage, tried activities at the resort like archery, spent time at the spa and pool, and enjoyed delicious dinners. The resort sits north of Atlanta in the mountains of North Georgia.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway where you can drive in and leave the hustle of daily life behind for a while, keep this on your radar!

Dave and Shari knew that they wanted to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary at Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons. I knew that they needed to start booking before their 29th anniversary in order to secure accommodations in a place that sells out rooms and cabins almost as soon as they open up! If Yellowstone is on your bucket list in 2027 and beyond, let's start locking it in soon! 🤠⛰️

I can't say enough how much I love this "in journey" proof of life! 🥰🌎✈️ These include Cancun (all-inclusive resort multi-gen family of 11!), Yellowstone and Grand Tetons (cabin, 30th anniversary empty nesters), Outer Banks (vacation rental home, family with young adults), and the Dolomites (bed and breakfast, honeymooners!).
