Grand Canyon Lady

Grand Canyon Lady I teach in a public middle school in upstate NY and have been taking 50 of my 8th graders to the Grand Canyon every spring break for over 20 years!

If you're a teacher, contact me to start YOUR incredible trip! When you've spent 20 years taking your students on amazing adventures during spring break, you become known throughout the district as "the Grand Canyon Lady!" And I'm proud of it! These trips have been life changing for my students and extremely rewarding for me. I've kept a notebook of stories that have happened on those trips and I

'll be sharing some of them here. As a Travel Specialist with Grand Classroom, I can help other teachers experience this same remarkable opportunity! Please message me to get started!

From the Grand Canyon to Africa 🌍

If you’re new here, you might be wondering why a channel called Grand Canyon Lady, which grew out of my experiences taking students on trips, is suddenly showing you an African safari.

Here’s the connection:

Years ago, I took a group of students to the Grand Canyon. I had no idea at the time that that trip would change the way I saw travel — or that it would eventually turn me into the world traveler I am today.

Over the years, I learned a lot about planning trips, finding value, organizing groups, and making incredible travel experiences possible without spending a fortune.

I’ve now used that knowledge to organize my fourth African safari for a group of friends.

So this isn’t me abandoning the story of Grand Canyon Lady.

This IS the story of what happened after the Grand Canyon.

Follow along as I show you the safari, the planning behind it, the mistakes, the surprises, and some of the ways I’ve learned to make extraordinary travel more affordable.
