I-77 Express Through the use of dynamically-priced express lanes, I-77 Express helps people get to their destinations in a reliable drive time.

The express lanes are within the 26 miles of I-77 between Uptown Charlotte and Exit 36 in Mooresville. Charlotte-based I-77 Mobility Partners financed, developed, designed, constructed, and currently operates and maintains the project. NCDOT retains ownership of the roadway and helps ensure I-77 Mobility Partners adheres to the standards of their contractual partnership. Construction, managed by S

The I-77 Express puts you in charge of your commute. You decide when you want to use the express lanes and for what distance. Electronic signs placed overhead before each entry point will display the current toll rate for that particular segment. The merge lanes are designed with safety in mind, providing plenty of room for drivers to enter and exit the express lanes using at least six designated points. You get to customize your commute depending on your schedule and your needs.
