As we celebrate 20 years of service today, we're taking a trip back to where it all began.

This photo captures Fresh Air Aviation's very first flight—a moment that marked the start of two decades of connecting communities, creating memories, and serving Northern Michigan from the skies.

What started with a single flight has grown into thousands of journeys, carrying passengers, freight, and generations of islanders and visitors.

We're incredibly grateful to our customers, employees, and community members who have been part of this journey along the way.

Thank you for flying with us, supporting us, and helping us reach this milestone. Here's to 20 years of aviation, and many more ahead.

Fresh Air Aviation provides year around passenger and freight service to Mackinac Island and there are time of the year when air is the only way to travel to the Island. Grant was our pilot when we flew over in June.

The fare is $59 a person each way with a two person minimum. Parking right beside the Mackinac County Airport terminal is free, so if you are going for a few days,, you can save money by flying versus taking a ferry. The short flight is a lot of fun and taking a horse drawn taxi from the airport into town is even more fun!

Once a staple of business and commuter aviation, many Queen Airs have been retired, making it increasingly uncommon to see one flying—let alone two.

At Fresh Air Aviation, we're fortunate to have not one, but two Queen Airs in our fleet. These classic aircraft continue to serve Northern Michigan with the reliability, versatility, and character that made them legendary.

While aviation technology continues to evolve, there's something special about keeping these iconic aircraft in the air and doing what they were built to do: connecting people and communities.
