📢 Important Policy Reminder – Beaver Island Boat Company
We’re working hard to reduce confusion for our team and properly train new staff, which means we need everyone’s help following our policies:
✅ Reservations: If you do not have a house account or approved credit application on file with us, you must provide a credit card at the time you make your reservation.
✅ Freight Drop-Offs: If you are dropping off freight yourself, you must come into the office to have it priced and pay for shipping before it is loaded.

There are too many customers arriving in a rush to catch a flight, rushing our staff, and then telling us they’ll “just pay on the island.”
If you are dropping off freight, please arrive with enough time for a staff member to price it and for you to go into the office to pay.

Failure to do so may result in your freight being held in Charlevoix.
For security and billing reasons, the Island office is not allowed to store any credit card information. This policy is now being strictly enforced for all self-drop freight customers.
Please Note: Customers who drop off freight without prepaying may be subject to a 10-25% COD fee when they settle on the island (to cover the extra handling and COD charges).
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation — it helps us serve everyone more efficiently!
