Hello pumpkin friends!
π It is with mixed emotions that we share that our farm DID NOT plant pumpkins this past spring.
π With much thought and consideration, we have decided to pause our business in order to cherish the time we have with our four kiddos.
π Yes, this business was started for them, with them, and as theyβve grown their knowledge about the business grew substantially. From seed ordering, planting, weeding, physical labor picking/driving the tractors and trailers, to selling, socializing, and delivering- our kids received a gift we never knew we could provide.
π Our profits were tithed to the organization of their choice each year, and invested for college savings.
BUT NOW: our focus is on time well spent with our biggest blessings from God.
Sports/athletics, and school activities are endless. Andy or myself missed a large portion of fall activities and sports due to pumpkin obligations, and we didnβt like the feeling of missing those events last year.
So for now it is a βsee ya later,β but stay tuned because our oldest pumpkin has an interest in Ag and some ideas about future seasons.
I personally (Ashton), will miss all the interactions with my fall friends that Iβve met over the last 7 or so years at the Charleston Farmerβs Market.
Pictures are of some of our very first sale days at the market and our recent family vacation to WI. ππππ
