📚✏️ Back-to-School Safety Starts Now! 🚑

As students head back to the classroom, Lifeguard Ambulance Service of the Carolinas encourages families to make safety a top priority. Here are a few simple reminders to help ensure a safe and successful school year:

🚸 Walking to and from School • Walk on sidewalks whenever possible. • Cross at designated crosswalks and street corners. • Put away phones and other distractions when crossing the street. • Look left, right, and left again before crossing. • Make eye contact with drivers and watch for vehicles that may be turning or backing up.

🧼 Practice Good Hand Hygiene Frequent handwashing with soap and water or the use of hand sanitizer can help keep students healthy throughout the school year.

🍎 Choose Healthy Foods Nutritious breakfasts and lunches provide the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients children need to learn, grow, and thrive.

🏠 Be Prepared After School If children are home alone after school, make sure they know: ✅ How to call 911 ✅ Their home address and phone number ✅ Parent/guardian contact information ✅ The name and phone number of a trusted neighbor or emergency contact

🚑 Another Class of Future EMTs Has Begun! 🚑

This week, we kicked off our 3rd Earn While You Learn class at Lifeguard Ambulance Service! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome 11 students selected from across South Carolina as they begin their journey toward becoming EMTs and joining our team.

During their onboarding, our students have already:
❤️ Earned their CPR certifications
🦺 Learned the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
📚 Begun building the knowledge and skills they’ll need to succeed in EMS

We are incredibly excited to watch these students learn, grow, and develop throughout the program. Their journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes them!

⚾❤️ A great night celebrating our amazing team at First Responder Night with the Florence Flamingos!
On Friday evening, our crews and their families enjoyed a well-deserved night at the ballpark, spending time together, sharing laughs, and representing Lifeguard Ambulance Service both on and off the clock.
We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication our first responders show every day to the communities we serve. Opportunities like these remind us that building strong teams goes beyond the job—it happens through fellowship, appreciation, and making memories together.
