I have been shearing our sheep, llamas, and alpacas the last 3 days. Goal was to do it earlier this month but as usual, life gets in the way so I'm behind.

So far most have done amazing and stood still. I did have a MMA fighter sheep, she would stand up on her back legs and punch me as I was trying to shear her. One that jumped like a deer as I tried to take her to the shed but then stood beautifully.

Then there is Larry 🤣. Larry like to kick, spit, and tell you his hate for this. Do not judge me on Larry's haircut because I do the best I can as fast as I can. It required kick guards, large pieces of cardboard work great. I couldn't shear his legs or belly because then I was in firing range of his back feet.

Do you like to run or walk 5Ks?!?! There is a race at the Coleta Sportsmens Club tomorrow morning! Go on the link below to sign up. You can do the trail race through the club OR do the road race.

The Run for Brain Health is on Saturday May 16, 2026. It includes the following events: 5K Road Run, 5K Trail Run, and Support the Cause.
