Next Monday, Jewish families all around the world will sit around the Seder table and remember the most significant event on the Jewish calendar - the exodus from Egypt towards their Promised Land, and from slavery into freedom.
One of the liturgical poems we sing during that evening is called “Vehi Sheamda”

The last portion is the following:

אֶלָּא שֶׁבְּכָל דּוֹר וָדוֹר עוֹמְדִים עָלֵינוּ לְכַלּוֹתֵנוּ
וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַצִּילֵנוּ מִיָּדָם

“but in every generation they rise up to destroy us.
But the Holy One, Blessed be He, delivers us from their hands.”

This morning when I got my coffee Bill & Bea's Espresso, I saw a little paper in the window for options of giving… what called my heart was that it was not asking for just money donations but actual items for the fur babies 🤍🐾🫶🏼🐾🤍
