The flight between Singapore and New York is a whopping 19.5 hours! While that may sound dreadful, when you’re prepared, even the world’s longest flight can go pretty smoothly.

I fly A LOT, and I’ve definitely figured out what earns a permanent spot in my carry on aside from my laptop, snacks, and a book.

Some of these are for comfort. Some keep me entertained. And that little emergency overnight kit? That one comes from experience.  After enough delays, cancellations and unexpected overnights, I never assume my checked bag and I will arrive at the same place at the same time anymore.

Travel enough and you definitely figure out the things you refuse to fly without!

An 8 second pitch to take a second look at Ho Chi Minh City 🇻🇳

I just quoted this city for one of my client’s Southeast Asia vacation itineraries and it is still giving me all of the feels.

The food. The history. The markets. The coffee. The people. The energy. The mix of old and new. The fact that you can eat ridiculously well without spending a fortune.

This isn’t necessarily your “sit by the pool and relax” type of vacation. It’s the kind of place you go when you want to try amazing local food, explore, learn and actually feel like you’ve experienced somewhere completely different.

And personally? These are some of my favorite trips.

Mobile Order breakfast while everyone else is still getting ready. By the time you’re ready to head out, breakfast is waiting and you’re one step closer to making Rope Drop without the morning chaos. 🙌

Because nobody wants to start a Disney day waiting 30 minutes for hungry kids to decide what they want for breakfast. 😂

Or losing your luggage 😬

When I’m booking flights for my clients, saving a couple hundred dollars doesn’t automatically make something the better option.

As your travel advisor, my job is not to find you the “Best Deal.” My job is to find the best match for your ideal vacation.

When booking flights, I’m looking at the whole picture. How much time are you losing with that connection? How tight is it? What happens if your first flight is delayed? And are we adding another opportunity for your luggage to not make it to the beach when you do? 🤪

Sometimes paying a little more means fewer things that can go wrong AND more time actually enjoying your vacation.

I’ll take the nonstop, thank you ✈️🙋‍♀️
