We’ve got a free weekend and nowhere to go.

Looking for somewhere within 2–3 hours of Orlando. Great pool, lazy river, waterslides, beach or waterfront would be a win. A tiki bar wouldn’t hurt either.

Where should we take the RV this weekend? Give us your hidden gems — we may let the comments pick this weekend’s Unwritten Route.

Missing summer already… ❤️

Back-to-school mode is officially in full swing around here. All three kids are back, schedules are getting back to normal, and somehow our summer on the road already feels way too long ago.

We packed a lot into those weeks — campgrounds, mountains, rivers and a few adventures that pushed us a little outside our comfort zone.

Pretty sure we're already ready to go again. 😂

Anyone else missing summer already?

RV friends — if you could build the perfect RV travel website or app, what would be in it?

We’ve been tossing around a lot of ideas lately, and instead of telling you what we think would be useful, we want to hear what you actually want.

Think wide open…

🏕️ Better campground reviews?
🗺️ Maps and places worth stopping?
🚐 Trip planning tools?
🍔 Restaurants, attractions and things to do near campgrounds?
🔧 RV gear that people actually use?
💰 Deals, discounts or memberships worth having?
⭐ Favorite parks, sites and hidden gems?
📱 Tools or features you wish existed?

What would make you actually use it when planning a trip or while you're on the road?

Don’t worry about whether it already exists or how hard it would be to build. Give us your wish list.

And if there’s something out there already that you LOVE using, tell us that too. 👇

When an RV service appointment actually takes 20 minutes… you celebrate. 😂

We had one final warranty item left from July — replacing the shade by our entry door.

We pulled into Blue Compass RV Dover and the technician literally walked out to meet us with the new shade in hand. Twenty minutes later, we were back on the road. Shout out to Jayco for the first two years of repairs for us.

No waiting around. No all-day service appointment. Just in, fixed, and out.

Huge shoutout to Blue Compass Dover for making this one ridiculously easy!

1 nights. 2,689 miles. About 425 gallons of fuel.

We’re home.

Three weeks ago we pulled out of Florida in the Alante with three kids, two dogs and the Jeep behind us.

Since then we’ve covered 2,689 miles, burned roughly 425 gallons of fuel, stayed at some great campgrounds, visited places we’d never been before, caught up with friends, and somehow managed to get everybody back home in one piece.

There were stops we planned months ago, stops we added along the way, and a few places that turned out way better than we expected.

We’re definitely not finished with this trip yet. We still have campground reviews to share, places we haven’t talked about, things that worked, things that didn’t, and plenty we learned along the way.

For now, the Alante is back in Florida, the Jeep is unhooked, and everybody gets to sleep in their own bed.

At least until we figure out where we’re going next.

Can a campground surprise you? This one definitely surprised us.

SanWar RV Park & Resort in Sandersonville, Georgia was actually a stop ChatGPT suggested while we were heading south. We expected a convenient overnight stop. Instead, we found ourselves wishing we’d planned to stay longer.

Between the lazy river, resort-style pools, spacious sites, and peaceful setting, it feels more like a destination than just a place to park the RV.

Sometimes the best stops are the ones you never planned.

We’ll definitely be back—and next time, it won’t be for just one night.

Have you ever found a campground that completely exceeded your expectations?

Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort definitely lived up to the hype.

From the incredible mountain views to the beautiful coach cottages and immaculate landscaping, every evening walk felt like strolling through a luxury mountain neighborhood.

This isn’t a resort packed with activities—and that’s exactly the point. It’s peaceful, meticulously maintained, and easily one of the nicest motorcoach resorts we’ve visited.

If luxury RV resorts are on your bucket list, Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort deserves a spot near the top.

Would you stay here even if you didn’t own a million-dollar coach?

Blake Farms Family RV Resort was the perfect overnight stop on our way to Mountain Falls.

We played mini golf, the kids wore themselves out on the jump pillow, and we explored the general store packed with local goods, snacks, and homemade treats.

Best part? It was one of the quietest nights of sleep we’ve had in a while.

And yes—we found this one with ChatGPT. It definitely nailed the assignment.

You don’t have to drive far to find something unforgettable.

Just 10–15 minutes from Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort, we spent the day exploring Gorges State Park and Whitewater Falls on the North Carolina–South Carolina border.

The short, family-friendly walk leads to one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Rockies, and the views are worth every step. Along the way, plenty of warning signs reminded us that while nature is beautiful, it also deserves our respect.

If you’re staying at Mountain Falls, this is an easy day trip that’s absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.

Have you been to Whitewater Falls?

$20 a night for this? We had to double-check too.

We spent two nights at Bethpage Camp Resort on our way from Hershey to North Carolina, and it ended up being a great stop.

Between the pools, water slides, waterfront views, campfires, and a roomy campsite under the pines, the kids had plenty to do and we actually had time to slow down.

Thanks to our Thousand Trails plan, the stay came out to just $20 per night. That’s hard to beat.

Definitely one we’d come back to.
