Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to give an updated status for business operations.

Starting this Friday, May 26th we will be resuming regular "Friday" operations. We will be running FNM and miniatures again, as was the usual before the pandemic. All other days will still remain at 11am-5pm over the next few weeks as we continue to gauge interest in what other evenings people would like to implement back to 8pm. We will post new updates when additional days are added back in. Thank you for your understanding and support during the last year, it has been greatly appreciated.

FYI - We will be closed on Memorial Day, May 31st.

Thanks.

As most of you are aware the storm took out the store power and since then, the shop has been closed. I spoke with a few of the line workers a couple days ago and it sounded like that it would be up and running, "soon". As of Thursday morning 8am the shop still does not have power. :( I am sorry that I did not post anything sooner, but we were dealing with a thrashed house and neighborhood much like many of you. I will do a follow up post as soon as I get power back at the shop and open for business. Thank you everyone for your continued patience and understanding. I hope you are all doing well and managing to get through this disaster we have here. Thanks.

Tempest Games family, friends and customers, I wanted to give you the newest update on store operations. We will be opening back up to a "walk in customer status" as of today (05/08/2020). We will continue to keep the store clean and wiped down on a regular basis and we will continue to offer curbside service to anyone that does not feel comfortable coming into the store. We will continue with the restricted hours we had set previously a few weeks ago, 11-5 Monday - Sunday. For the time being we will also continue with no events, tournaments, etc for the near foreseeable future in the interest of everyone's comfort and safety.

As a couple side notes:

Yesterday we received a very large restock of Games Workshop product. This is the first shipment from them in over a month and a half since GW had closed down manufacturing and distribution. So if you have been waiting for something to come back in, please feel free to contact the shop after 11am.

For MTG players, all the recent Magic items that were to release prior, have an official street date of 05/15/2020. We will have plenty of product in on time, unless Wizards were to change the date again, which as of this morning has not changed.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has supported the shop the last couple months during these insane times! I hope everyone and there families are doing well and look forward to seeing you all soon!

Tempest Games family, friends and customers, I wanted to give you the newest update on store operations. Earlier today (April 6th, 2020) the Governor increased the list of businesses that are to be closed due to the pandemic, and unfortunately it included game stores. As of tomorrow morning our doors will be closed/locked to the general public to adhere to the policies put forth by our state government. Customers will not be allowed into the store. With that being said, we are slowing down but not out. We will continue to operate at reduced hours as a curbside service from the hours of 11am-5pm every day of the week. Many people have been taking advantage of this in the prior few weeks and we plan to keep that going for as long as we can. All you need to do is call us with what you are looking for, if we have it, we can take your payment over the phone and call us when you arrive and we shall run it out to you. Delivery is a possible option as well, however it will be taken on an individual basis and details will be discussed at the time of the service inquiry based on the logistics, staff availability, and size of the purchase. (For example, we would not be driving across town to deliver a single pack of cards)

On more of a personal note, it does sadden me to have to keep reducing our operating abilities because of this world crisis we are in right now. It is a horrible situation in general, no matter how you slice it. I know that for many of you, Tempest is like a second home and that we are all like one giant dysfunctional family. That is why I am trying my best to keep the shop up and running, even if it is in a limited fashion. I know many of you personally, and I know many of you are front line workers, working from home, on lay off, or have just plain lost your job. Just remember, we will eventually make it through this, it is just going to be tough for awhile. I do appreciate everyone's support during this time, but you need to look out for yourselves as well. Make sure your rent is paid. Make sure you have food on the table for you and your family. Make sure all the important real life things are taken care of, and then if you are still sitting alright, we will be happy to help with your tedium and boredom with some new games. :) Thank you everyone for everything and take care of yourselves and each other.

Tempest Games family, friends and customers, I wanted to give an update on current business operations. No doubt, most of you are aware of the situation in regards to the Coronavirus Covid-19. Up until now it has not really interrupted or interfered with day to day business operations. However based on the fast paced nature of the virus spread and the advice given from local, state, and federal government authorities we will be implementing changes to protect you the customer and us as well. Starting today we will restrict business to a sales basis only. We are temporarily suspending all events, tournaments, and gatherings. We want to mitigate social interaction at the shop for everyone's safety and health. If you are sick or showing symptoms please do not come into the shop. One of the most lethal things about the virus is that it can be transmitted while you are not showing symptoms, so in that regard if you do come in to the the store to shop, use good hygiene, cough into your shoulder, cover your mouth if you sneeze, etc. It is an uncomfortable situation for everyone and some people are coping with the situation better than others. With that being said, if you do not feel comfortable coming into the store we would be more than happy to offer a curbside service for anyone who would prefer to remain outside of the business establishment. Just call the shop, tell us what you need, we can take your payment over the phone and when you get here just give us a call and we can run your order out to you. Hopefully the social distancing will be the only step we have to take during this time, however I just want everyone to know that it is a very fluid and fast changing situation and additional measures may have to be taken if things continue to get worse. We appreciate your business and continued support during this tough time. With patience and a little luck we can hopefully get back to business as usual and reinstate events and socializing in the not too distant future. That is all I have for now, I will update everyone if/when there are additional changes and measures that need to be taken. Please everyone stay safe and healthy. Best wishes to everyone and their families.
