Located in northwest Georgia in Floyd County's southwestern corner,
Cave Spring lies at the western end of beautiful Vann's Valley. The city is a
mere five miles from our neighboring state of Alabama on US Hwy 411,
which was originally an important Indian trail from ages past. Nestled
between the sheltering hills creating our wide valley of rich farmlands,
mineral deposits, abundant cle

ar spring waters, creeks, and a major river
traversing the area, those who early found their way here were quickly
enamored at the sight of the intrinsic beauty of this special land. Cave Spring is once again discovering its roots, from the Creek and
Cherokee inhabitants who established local commerce, to its earliest
European settlers who moved inland as their families outgrew the
coastal areas and resources. The diverse peoples that were a part of
area history have quietly preserved the atmosphere of small town
living that we relish from childhood. The town still has much of
that unhurried pace, an essence of southern hospitality established
by earlier generations, and the beauty of its natural surroundings
with the cave and spring of its name in Rolater Park, just one block
south of the only traffic signal.

Coosa Valley Trout Unlimited proudly hosts the 39th Annual Kid's Fishing Day

8:30am - 1:30pm

No advance registration. Registration begins at 8:30am on the day of the event. Please register at least 30 min before your child’s time.

Kids Fishing Day is for children ages of THREE thru TWELVE. Registered children will be given a coupon to have a free hotdog lunch compliments of KC's Food Store, Coca-Cola, Kroger and Coosa Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Parents and other guests can purchase lunch for $2.00 per person.

 The children fish by age groups in the pond.

 REGISTERED CHILDREN IN ANY OF THESE AGE GROUPS MAY FISH IN THE CREEK ALL DAY 

POND FISHING TIMES

The 3 and 4 year olds fish first, at 9am until 9:30.

5 and 6 year olds at 9:45 until 10:15.

The 7, 8 and 9 year olds fish fish from 10:30 until 11:00. 

The 10, 11 and 12 year olds fish from 11:15 until 11:45.

ALL REGISTERED AGE GROUPS CAN FISH THE POND FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 1pm

The fish are given a resting period between each age group.

THERE IS A 5 FISH LIMIT FROM THE POND PER CHILD AND THE STATE ENFORCES THE 8 TROUT LIMIT FOR FISH TOTAL FROM CREEK AND POND.

WE ASK THAT PARENTS ASSIST THE CHILD AS NEEDED BUT NOT FISH FOR THE CHILD.

WE ALSO DO NOT ALLOW SPINNING LURES OR TREBLE HOOKS. PLEASE BRING YOUR ROD AND BAIT. DNR WILL HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF LOANER RODS.
NO CULLING OF SMALL TROUT, YOU MUST KEEP THOSE THAT ARE CAUGHT...UP TO 5.

Tomorrow is the Cave Spring Historical Society’s 51st annual Cave Spring Arts & Crafts festival! And you don’t want to miss it!!

Rolater Lake Cave Spring Swimming Pool will be open Saturday and Sunday, and you’re going to want to cool off on the refreshing water!

Don’t forget to stop by the Rolater Park cave!

It’s a beautiful weekend in Cave Spring! All of our merchants are ready to welcome you! Make sure you visit, shop and eat after you leave the festival!
