"Appalachia" is probably not the first word that comes to mind when you think of Ohio, but that's exactly where its most visited park, Hocking Hills, nestled in the southeastern part of the state, is located— the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Check out the travel guide for a list of the best spots in the area.

With more annual visitors than Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Hocking Hills State Park might be called Ohio’s crown jewel for good reason. Its accessibility makes it a great weekend getaway destination for casual hikers, families and honeymooners alike.
