Happy Mother’s Day! I feel loved. Dave got me an orchid which will eventually be placed outdoors. Merrill sent so many flowers that they fit in 2 of my vases.

We celebrate how women were essential to the Allies World War 2 on Rosie Riveter Dsy, I learned how through Gary Sinese’s post.

Join us today in celebrating National during !

On this day in 2019, Congress passed a resolution to acknowledge the important role women played during World War II. As men left home to join the war, almost 16 million civilian women stepped in and produced planes and ammunition. Named “Rosies” after the iconic Rosie the Riveter poster campaign, these women also served on ration boards and volunteered for the American Red Cross.

Today we reflect on both the sacrifices and work made by these incredible women during World War II. Thank you, Rosies, for your service to our nation and for your transformation of the American workplace. We salute you!

Wow! Time does go by quickly when you are enjoying the creativity of a new project! Diana Gibison and I started creating Holiday Home Decor in the late fall - with Dave's help. We hosted a Holiday Gathering 2 weekends ago and have been well supported by friends. We have posts on Facebook Marketplace. Here's a couple of samples of the decor that we have created.

Our home continues to look like a Christmas Shop - a great place to sing "Jingle Bells" or "Frosty the Snowman!" It is a treat to watch Diana Gibison design and create beautiful Holiday Decor. I do more of the administrative and online marketing,. It is very different than my previous work of helping seniors to downsize and relocate. We seek to create beauty for your home.. Here is one example! We have named our start up DiAnn by Design.
