A few people asked for it, so we finally put together a more detailed walkthrough on folding the Double GoBoat.

One of the best things about a GoBoat is that it packs down small enough to fit in places most boats never could. Once you've done it a couple of times, the process becomes second nature.

In this video, we go step-by-step through our folding method for the Double GoBoat, along with a few tips we've learned from packing and unpacking them almost every day.

If you're a new owner, hopefully this saves you some trial and error. If you're thinking about buying one, this is a good look at what makes a GoBoat so portable in the first place.

Got questions? Drop them in the comments and we'll try to cover them in future videos.

Stay safe NC! The Goboat is a great way to explore no matter what the water levels may be. We have all models in stock and available to demo before you buy!

We certainly welcomed the recent rainfall this past week, but many lakes across North Carolina and Virginia remain below normal levels.

If you’re heading out on the water this weekend, plan ahead and stay aware of current conditions. Even when lake levels appear normal, water safety should always remain a top priority.

⚠️ One step can change everything.
Natural shorelines can hide sudden drop-offs, unstable footing, and other dangerous hazards. When swimming or wading from shore, always wear a life jacket.

⚠️ A dive can ruin the day.
Changing water levels may conceal submerged hazards like rocks, stumps, and debris just below the surface. Never dive or jump into unfamiliar water — always enter feet first.

⚠️ Stay alert around boats and docks.
Swimming near boat ramps, docks, or operating vessels can be extremely dangerous. Boat operators may not see swimmers, and running engines create serious carbon monoxide hazards.

Current lake levels can be found here:

Stay safe and recreate responsibly this weekend.

Quick GoBoat packing tip.
We’ve been experimenting with a faster way to pack up the GoBoat and get it back in the bag, and this might be our new favorite method.

1️⃣ Burrito roll the GoBoat from bottom to top, with the last fold outward. This keeps the transom plate exposed and away from any material.

2️⃣ Flip the GoBoat over and fold both sides inward, folding away from the transom mount.

That’s it.
Bonus: those final folds line up with the fin mounts, so there’s an easy reference point every time.
And this is a Double being packed into a Single bag.

Inside this bag we still fit:
✔️ Seat
✔️ Life vest
✔️ First aid kit
✔️ Water shoes
✔️ Manual air pump
(With replacement TRiB Outdoor Tech)

Then after filming...we still stuffed a tarp in there for camping.

The goal isn’t just portable boating. The goal is making adventure easier to say yes to.

Next stop: Green Acres Campground for Memorial Day weekend.

Your personal space just got bigger.

A GoBoat gives you just enough boat to slip away from the crowd, find the quiet water, and remember there’s still plenty of room out here.

🌕🌊 PSA: The tides are about to get REALLY high around Carolina Beach this week.

We’re entering a “King Tide” cycle from roughly May 15–21, caused by a pretty wild combo:

👉 New Moon alignment
👉 The moon being near its closest point to Earth (perigee)
👉 Extra gravitational pull stacking everything together

Basically… the moon and sun are working together to pull harder on the ocean than usual.

That means:

- Higher high tides
- Lower low tides
- More flooding in low-lying areas
- Water showing up where it normally doesn’t

If you live around Carolina Beach, you already know the usual suspects:
👀 Canal Drive
👀 Carolina Beach Ave North
👀 Florida Ave

Even without storms, water levels can run unusually high during these cycles.

For Wilmington / Carolina Beach:
🌊 Evening high tides around May 16–18 are forecast near or above 6 feet in some areas.

The wild part?

The moon is almost invisible right now. Only a tiny sliver illuminated.

But its gravity is doing some heavy lifting.

Stay curious. Stay dry. Watch the water this week.

We just dropped a pair of GoBoats at Willow Tree RV Resort & Campground and every time we come here we find another reason to like this place. 🌲🌊

Single Fish. Double Fish. Huge floating obstacle course. Paddle boats. Kayaks. Disc golf. Pool. Tons of included activities scattered all over the property without the place feeling crowded or overbuilt.

Spent the afternoon getting the boats set up and cruising the lake while checking out the water course. The scale of this place from the water is pretty wild.

This is the kind of campground we naturally connect with. Relaxed atmosphere, good people, and enough to do that you can stay busy all weekend or do absolutely nothing at all.

If you’re planning a Myrtle Beach area trip, book a stay at Willow Tree and come see the GoBoats in person. There’s a good chance you’ll leave pricing out campsites and GoBoats at the same time. We’ve seen it happen. 🤝

Wings Over Carolina Beach from the GoBoats was a pretty wild way to watch the show. ✈️🌊

We caught day one from the beach, but sitting out in the Basin today felt completely different.

One minute it’s quiet marsh water and mullet flipping around the boats…

then a formation of mechanical birds tears across the sky at a few hundred miles an hour.

The reflections off the water were unreal.
Jets banking over the island.
Engines echoing through the marsh.

Carolina Beach knows how to put on a show.
