Found a nice roadside market. And when your wife is Polish, you make pickles.

Do you really want to make a great burger? Just keep it simple.

1 pound ground chuck
1 pound ground beef

Mixed together well, add a piece of salt teaspoon of yellow mustard.

This should make 8 1/4 pound patties

Sprinkle on both sides of each patty, a mixture of course salt and black pepper with paprika

3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons smoked paprika

Cook at a high temp for a nice char. Remember the better quality of meat that you buy the better the burger. You can’t make a great burger using the cheapest meat.

So on my recent trip to Poland I had the opportunity to try some unusual soups. One was a dill pickle soup, a cold beet yogurt soup and the last was flaki. Not a fan. But you don’t know till you try!

What are some foods that you tried and you were surprised you enjoyed?

Mine was octopus.
