Here’s a sneak peak at my new blog post!

The Drake Passage is a 600 mile stretch of ocean between the Antarctic Peninsula and South America. Due to the convergence of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Southern Oceans, it experiences some of the roughest waters in the world. But will you experience the “Drake Lake” or the “Drake Shake?” 🌊

In my last post, I aimed to answer the questions people asked me before my Antarctic expedition. Trust me, there were many. But after I returned, the question I got the most was “WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART?!”

Honestly, it’s impossible to choose just one. This was the trip of a lifetime. So...in order to answer appropriately answer the question, I’ve narrowed it down to ten. Seems reasonable 🤷‍♀️😂

In January, Dave and I tackled this beautiful 7.5 mile hike. The Table Rock Trail in Pickens County, South Carolina gave us a run for our money, but the views were definitely worth it! ⛰🏔🌄

Getting back from my trip early has afforded me the ability to get some work done on my blog before starting call this week.

Despite the rush to return and the incredibly scary 48 hours where I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it back...this trip was life changing. I’m unable to find the words and pictures don’t even come close to showing the beauty of these countries.

Also, this trip has encouraged me to do more solo traveling. I met the most welcoming and wonderful people on this trip. People who I know will become lifelong friends.

When all of this COVID-19 stuff blows over I hope we can all get back out there and continue the adventures! 🌅🌄🏔❄️🐧🐦🦆🐋

Crossed another activity off our to-do list this weekend! After we got rained out Saturday, we woke up super early on Sunday to hike up Table Rock Mountain. 🌄

The Table Rock Mountain Trail, which reaches the summit has been labeled a “strenuous” hike. We hiked up several miles of stairs and made our way over some giant boulders before reaching the peak.

4.75 hours. 7.2 miles. 23,000 steps. And a whopping 70 degrees in January. But boy, look at those views! 🌲🍁🍂🍃🏞
