Hurricane season is coming, and preparation matters more than most boat owners realize.

Every year we see boats damaged or destroyed during storms, and many times it’s not because the storm was unstoppable — it’s because the boat simply wasn’t secured properly.

Storm surge.

You don’t think about the bottom of the ocean… until your boat is sitting on it.

Over the last few weeks, Florida saw some of the lowest winter tides we’ve experienced in years.

No warning.
No dramatic storm surge.
Just water that kept disappearing.

Our client’s 51’ Schaefer — Integrity — sits in a slip with a natural rock bed. It cannot be dredged deeper. That’s simply the reality of that location.

When the tide dropped to extreme negative levels, the stern settled and the pods carried weight they were never designed to carry.

This wasn’t neglect.
This wasn’t poor planning.
