On the video (boats sonar), Seeing a lot of what I’m thinking, is debris at the bottom of the Cape Coral canals, and also other canals where we were at today.
ICW from Cape Coral to Captiva pass and out into the Gulf was pretty good just a few spots where there was some debris. Most of the red green markers were intact. only saw one or two that were bent over or missing.

A few boats on the beach at Cayo Costa and North Captiva today water was just a little murky
Going into Barnacle bay, Mainstay and Mangos were open and had a few boats there, people having lunch. From the ICW passage into Barnacle, Bay Seems unchanged.
Backside of Fort Myers Beach, Estero Bay underneath the Matanzas bridge channels were pretty clear. Markers were intact, by shrimp boat row some debris in the water bad smell of diesel, fuel, gas, and fish. lots of damage to restaurants and businesses along the shoreline.
Captiva pass and Redfish, pass seem unchanged. When I went through both passes, I drove over my existing tracks “breadcrumbs, didn’t see anything less than 9 feet deep between the shore and the sandbar at Redfish. Captiva pass close to shore didn’t see anything less than 7 feet deep. From the ICW out through Red Fish Pass many of the markers are missing.
A few spots visible from the golf on North Captiva were the land is very thin between the Gulf and the ICW side.
Monroe Canal, St. James city to Phuzzys and Low Key Tiki channel is pretty clear, some debris on the bottom, lots of devastation and damage along the shoreline.
We covered a lot of ground (“Water”) today and many miles, for the most part boating was good, did not see too many obstructions. You still have to be careful for submerge debris and floating debris, missing or downed markers.
Stay safe!
