Where did we get the name “Phillips Family Diving and Hull Services” from?

Well like everything in life there is always a reason why. Our reason why is carrying on a family legacy. Bailey, one of the owners of Phillips Family Diving and Hull Services, is the son of fallen Police Detective Mike Phillips E.O.W. 8/7/2008

Not only was Detective Phillips a dedicated police officer, Air Force Veteran, and dedicated family man. He was also the owner of “Phillips Family Heating and Air” a family owned heating and air conditioning company in the 757. His company was not formal and consisted of just him, his wife, an his sons (as tool grabbers because they were both under 10) and some hired friends from time to time, his quality of work and dedication to each job was unmatched compared to other large scale companies during his time.

When we decided to officially form Phillips Family Diving and Hull Services LLC we had only one main mission. That is to ensure that the same quality and passion Mike had for his clients and quality of work was carried through with each client we serve.

Fun fact, when Bailey and Amber started the company we started it with the same phone number as Mike used when he had his Heating and Air Company. We have since moved to a different number for the company as it helps with the organization of our growing client bases.

Today we remember Detective Mike Phillips by continuing to carry on a legacy built over 20 years ago. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

We are excited to have this specialty job completed! We were asked to install custom made Tide Slides for a client in Virginia Beach. The tide slides are a custom length to match to highest and lowest ever recorded tides in Rudee inlet. They are also designed with custom brackets affixed to the dock to allow for more stability of the dock. It took a total of 6 days over the course of 2 weeks (due to weather and illness in our family), 4 dives in 48°F water, 2 boats launched, and 3 additional team members to complete this project. This project marks the third specialty project that Phillips Family Diving and Hull Services has completed and we are ready and excited for more.

Whether it’s your standard boat maintenance or a specific specialty job, we are more than happy to help you out!
