If you look carefully, you'll see a familiar face behind the wheel of a very special truck.

Pennsylvania's and America's Road Team Captain Bernie Wanyo had the honor of driving the truck carrying The Wall That Heals as it arrived in Lebanon County this week, es**rted by more than 100 motorcyclists and welcomed by members of the community.

The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., honoring the more than 58,000 service members whose names are inscribed on the Wall. The exhibit will be on display at Campbelltown Community Park through Sunday.

We’re proud of Bernie for representing Pennsylvania’s professional drivers on such a meaningful journey.

We weren’t planning to give away the ending of David's CDL journey just yet… but we just couldn’t wait until next week...

HE PASSED! 🎉🚛

After studying, practicing, testing, and documenting the whole experience, David McCord, PMTA's Director of Member Engagement, is officially a CDL holder!

Part 1 of his CDL journey was released last week and part 2 just dropped yesterday. Part 3 is coming next week, so you’ll have to wait to find out how he got here… but we’re breaking the rules and giving you the ending early!

💖🚛 What do Dolly Parton and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association have in common?

Today, the PMTA team got into the spirit of Dolly Parton, and it turns out, there’s more of a connection to trucking than you might think! ✨

Dolly didn’t just become a country music legend. She also put her name behind a truck stop in Tennessee. When asked why she wanted to be part of the truck stop, Dolly said, “I’ve spent my whole life traveling down the road.”

We think that says a lot.

At PMTA, we know the road is more than pavement. It’s where our members work, build businesses, deliver essential goods, and keep Pennsylvania moving. And just like Dolly, we have a deep appreciation for the people who spend their lives traveling down the road.

So today, we’re celebrating Dolly and celebrating the trucking industry she was proud to be a part of. 🫶

A new connection is coming to help keep traffic moving in the Harrisburg area.​

The PA Turnpike is planning two new access ramps connecting PA 283 directly to the Turnpike in Dauphin County. The proposed ramps would give drivers an alternative to the I-283/PA 283 interchange, helping improve safety, reduce congestion and provide a more direct, reliable connection.
