There is a new glow to our seawall thanks to USAAF P-520! Look for more boats to be decked out as our boating community prepares for the Dec. 11 Christmas Lights on the Choptank Parade. Register your boat at [email protected].

Check it out! The World War II crashboat USAAF P-520 , which made its home in Cambridge earlier this year, is all decked out for the holidays on Cambridge Creek!
>> The crashboat is hosting an open house Dec. 4 from 12-8pm for the Baltimore and Chesapeake Bay Ship Watchers group, but the general public is welcome, too. Details: bit.ly/3ojBXOT
>> On Pearl Harbor Day, Dec. 7, there will be a special ceremony held on board the P-520 starting at 7:45am. Details: bit.ly/32XRuMb
>> The P-520 is anchored right by Ruark Boatworks, Maryland and Hayward Street in Cambridge, MD.

Commercial boats continue to roll on and off our marine railway for a variety of repairs and inspections. Today we said goodbye to "Talbot" (Oxford-Bellevue ferry). Soon after, we rolled up the Annapolitan II charter cruise boat from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. For more information on commercial haul-out and repairs, visit us at https://www.yachtmaintenanceco.com

Joe Laber is in the yard preparing for another year of oyster dredging off Deal Island in the Virginia W. One of 35 original Chesapeake Bay skipjacks, she was built in 1904 in Guilford, Virginia. Kudos to Joe for keeping this historic boat and tradition active on the Bay.

Another boat is heading south today. New Yorker Nick Cancro is taking Marie Elena to Antigua where he plans to enjoy retirement. Nick brought the 1974 Olin Stephens 48' fast cruiser to our yard for mast refurbishment. Over the years, we've also installed a new engine and rudder for Nick who says: "The Yacht Maintenance crew really takes care of me. They are the only guys around who know what they're doing for this type of major repair." Bon Voyage Nick!

If you cruise along Cambridge Creek, you may have noticed this beauty with the great name and custom logo. Blond Ambition is owned by Pennsylvanian Sherie Munday who summers in Cambridge and is leaving on Thursday for her second voyage to St. Thomas. Sherie is a regular customer and says our crew is "like family." This year, we outfitted the boat with a new transmission and prop. Bon Voyage Sherie. Fair Winds and Following Seas and see you in 2022!
