This week our home away from home is the beautiful Hotel Gettysburg, located right in the center of historic Gettysburg! Being right on Lincoln Square makes it easy for our group to explore the charming shops, restaurants, and famous historic sites that make this town so special.

Just a short walk away is the childhood home of Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg. Standing in the very streets where history unfolded is truly an unforgettable experience.

Did you know? Hotel Gettysburg has been welcoming guests for over 230 years! The original hotel on this site opened in 1797 and has hosted travelers, politicians, military leaders, and visitors from around the world. During the Civil War, the hotel stood just steps away from some of the most important events surrounding the Battle of Gettysburg. The current hotel continues that tradition today, blending modern comfort with the rich history that surrounds it.

🇺🇸✨ Gettysburg Adventure – Day 1 is in the Books! 👻🏨

What an incredible first day in historic Gettysburg!

After checking into our beautiful hotel, our travelers enjoyed some free time exploring the charming streets of Gettysburg, browsing unique shops, and soaking in the atmosphere of this famous town.

🍽️ Dinner was at the historic Dobbin House, where we enjoyed a fantastic meal and outstanding service. Let’s just say nobody left hungry—full bellies and happy travelers all around!

After dinner, we spent some time shopping and strolling around the area before boarding our guided Ghost Bus Tour. 👻🚌

Our evening adventure took us through portions of the Gettysburg Battlefield, to the famous Sachs Covered Bridge, past Gettysburg College, and included some fascinating—and spooky—stories about our very own hotel! Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the stories certainly kept everyone entertained!

Tomorrow promises to be an unforgettable day as we visit the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, experience the powerful film and Cyclorama presentation, and then embark on a 3-hour guided battlefield tour with a licensed Gettysburg guide.

History is coming alive, memories are being made, and the adventure is just getting started!
