We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Caddo Mills ISD - Official, Caddo Mills High School-Official, and Dallas Flight Center for participating today's "First Annual" combined American Education Week /-/ National Aviation History Month event.

We had almost 30 CMISD students learn/teach aviation principles with Dallas Flight Center hosted instructors!

We hope to have footage to share with you next week... but, we were just too excited not to spill the beans today.

The Caddo Mills Airport is preparing an "Eat at Caddo Mills" ad/media campaign, to go along with our "Fly. Stay. Eat. Play. Caddo Mills!" ad/media campaign.

We (the Airport) want to bring our flying traffic/revenue opportunity directly to Caddo Mills restaurant venues from the Caddo Mills Airport.

We are formalizing criteria for restaurants to participate in our "Eat at Caddo Mills!" ad/media campaign. Don't be the restaurant that has to ask your accountant how to deduct "airport traffic opportunity cost" as a business loss because everyone else took the airport customers. 🫢

DID YOU KNOW?!

The first African/Native American female pilot is from Texas? Well, it's true, and her name is Bessie Coleman.

She went to France for an opportunity to learn how to fly, and returned to perform as a stunt pilot all over the United States. She raised money to start a school to train African American aviators, offering them an opportunity that wasn't otherwise available. She, like many other stunt pilots, passed away while performing an aerial rehersal.

Today, the Bessie Coleman Middle School of the Cedar Hill Independent School District was named and dedicated in her honor.
